If technology is the engine of our civilization, the arts are its fuel. The arts define our civilization and connect our cultures. Through the Arts and Education Fund, VFEE seeks to provide experiences in the fine and performing arts that will enhance the district's existing programs, encourage greater student participation, and open avenues of learning that will lay the groundwork for a lifelong appreciation of the arts for students, faculty and the community-at-large.

Imagine bringing in the starting line-up of the New York Yankees to work with your school's baseball team—that is what Jazz Day accomplished for the Verona High School music department. Funded by a grant from VFEE, the music department of Verona was able to bring in local professional musicians to work with and instruct our music students. The live interaction and enthusiasm of these professional musicians have had profound effects on our music students. In the words of one Verona Student "Jazz Day is simply an unbelievable thing. Jazz Day makes an impact on every student who participates."
