Verona Foundation for Educational Excellence supplements the basic educational process in the Verona Schools and enhances it by providing grants and funding for special projects. The foundation will decide based on submitted grant requests what grants will be funded. Grant applications are judged on how many students will be affected, how innovative the project is, and how it will impact students' learning. VFEE has five dedicated funds which can be designated if a donor desires to restrict his/her donation to a specific area of interest. The five dedicated funds are: Technology & Learning Fund VFEE normally disburses funds twice during the year. These disbursements are usually in the form of small grants, one disbursement in the fall and one in the spring. A small grant is limited to approximately $1,500. During the entire year, VFEE will consider special grants, which may be above $1,500. In its first full year, VFEE provided over 40 small or special grants totally approximately $80,000.
